We're taking the protection of your personal data very seriously. We treat your personal data confidentially and in accordance with the statutory data protection regulations and this data protection declaration. Our website may be used without entering personal information.

If personal data is collected, this only occurs – to the extent possible – with your prior consent. Information is considered personal if it can be associated exclusively to a specific natural person. Any forwarding of the data to third parties without the express consent of the user shall not take place. When we ask you to provide certain information by which you can be identified when using this website, then you can be assured that it will only be used in accordance with this privacy statement and in accordance with the provisions of German data protection statutes.

1. What we collect

We may collect the following information:

Information you provide: your name, email address

Data we collect automatically:

When you access our website, your browser automatically sends data to our web server for technical reasons.

This includes:

• IP address
• the visited page or name of the accessed file
• date and time of access
• status about whether or not the page or file access was successful
• name of your web browser
• internet address of the previously-visited page (for example: when you clicked our link in search results or social media)

It is not possible for us to allocate this data to a particular person and server logs that are older than 3 months are automatically deleted.

To be more specific, we never store your IP address in combination with personal data that could identify you, except with your prior consent when you're using forms, as described below. These data are important for us to see from which countries our visitors are from and to have a rough overview of the traffic, but we'll never use it for any other purposes.

2. Where we're collecting personal information:

Forms (Contact, Guestbook, Comments):

When you use a form on our website, for example by leaving comments, guestbook entries or when you contact us with our contact form, your IP address will be stored for 3 days in addition to your name, email address and the time of your request. Therefore, we explicitly inform you about what we store and ask for your consent before you can send anything at all.

Why we need this information:

We need your IP address
• to protect our website against spam attacks
• to take legal action against the spread of illegal material, server attacks and the like

We need your email address
• to answer your inquiries sent from our contact form
• to contact you for further questions and/or to contact you if requested

We will never, under any circumstances, send you advertising or other unwanted emails and your email address will not be published anywhere. No data is transferred to third parties nor is any of this information matched to any information that may be collected by other components of our website.

3. Cookies

How we use cookies:

You can change the appearance of our site. We're using cookies to store your settings. We never use cookies to monitor your behavior.

We're creating three cookies on your device. The only things we may store in them would be:

widescreen: contains either "on" or "off"

If you decide to delete your cookies, or if you're completely refusing cookies, you won't be able to use these features. Instead, you'll always see the default theme. Apart from that, there should be no problems using our site if you prefer to disable cookies.
