hello everyooooone! ✨ january is already over. somehow. and I'm not sure how to feel about that.

now we're in february, a short month, which immediately makes my brain go "wow, spring is basically almost here." that's probably not true, but you know how it goes. for some people that's exciting, for me it's a bit stressful. spring means summer is coming, and summer is... eek. (be prepared for me ranting about the heat 24/7 again, I'm sorry in advance. 😭)

january itself was just kind of weird overall and not very memorable. danny and I genuinely had no idea what to write about this time, because nothing really happened that felt worth mentioning. it was snowing a LOT here in germany, which I personally loved. snow just makes everything ✨ nicer ✨ for me, and my dog was also living her best life out there (well, minus her anxiety issues). the only real problem was that I really should've bought new shoes ages ago, because my current ones are absolutely not made for winter.

concert season is also slowly starting again for danny, which is exciting! he already went to his first concert of the year, and if you want to read about that from his perspective, he wrote about it on his personal blog danieljason.de!

he's really thrilled about all the concerts coming up next. even if he is, once again, sick. the downside of working in a kindergarten, I guess. 😭 his dead by daylight hyperfixation from december is also still going strong, but don't worry, designfreaks will stay his first priority!! just kidding, but creativity needs to be recharged from time to time, okay. <3

speaking of designfreaks... yes, it's probably time to finally remove the christmas themes. I know. I see it too. but my creativity hasn't been at its best lately, and I really don't want to rush it just to get it done. so please bear with me a little longer. 🥲

on a more personal note, we had a small but surprising realization recently. we always knew that we met sometime in june or july 2010, but we never knew the exact day. it was always just "summer 2010" in our heads. we also remembered that we watched a movie that night together, and even funnier, before I even texted him, we both had the same TV channel on.

ANYWAY, for some reason it took us almost 16 years to think of this, but we finally googled when that movie aired in 2010. turns out... july 2nd. we've known each other since july 2nd, 2010. almost 16 years ago. that's kind of wild to think about. how are we not 14 anymore? I also saw a post yesterday about the upcoming harry potter series and how it's planned to run for at least 8 years, and we suddenly realized we'll be pushing 40 by then. what the hell. 😭

so yeah. january felt endless (just like this blog post for you, if you're still reading), february is already here, snow was great, my shoes are terrible, and life is doing its usual thing. we hope you're all easing into the year gently and not being too hard on yourselves. and as always, if there's anything you're missing or wishing for, let us know. <3

oh, and I also brought back the cropper tool we had before. it's called Image Tools now, and it's no longer just for cropping. you can do some simple edits with it too, like brightness and contrast, similar to the basic editing you get in your phone's gallery app, but made for desktop users.
