just a quick note that we've moved the tutorials from the tutorials.designfreaks.net subdomain directly to designfreaks.net! <3

when we brought back tutorials last year, we originally set up a separate subdomain because we wanted to keep the doors open to eventually build a small community around it, allow users to sign up, maybe add optional courses so people could test what they've learned, and see where it goes. nostalgia for the old web days definitely hit us hard, even though we knew times have changed.

long story short, I don't even know why I'm telling you all that backstory (probably so this post isn't just a single sentence, oops). we quickly scrapped that idea, and since the tutorial site already shared the same back-end and parts of the design, we figured it was just better to merge them.

I actually joked in a chat with danny that I'd "probably do it next year" because I wanted to overhaul the design of the subdomain for ages, but I just couldn't find the motivation. merging it was honestly partly out of laziness too, of course...

anyway, that's the news for today! <3
